I was curious if anyone knows anything about Toxaway Station, a military outpost of some sort that was located in Pendleton District in the 1790s.
I am not related to any of the folks listed below, but like a lot of other folks, I had relatives who lived near the Toxaway River, and was just curious about the area's history.
The only references I have seen to Toxaway Station are the following entries from the published South Carolina law books:
