Looking for the family of Thomas BLACKBURN whose will is dated 1 July 1834 in Abbeville, SC. Thomas BLACKBURN owned 195 acres of land on Little River known by name of White Oa? Cove(or Cave) in Pickens Co. Thomas had sisters: Sarah, Nancy, and Isabelle BLACKBURN and brother, John BLACKBURN. His parents were William and Lydia (?) BLACKBURN. William's will was read 10 June 1817 in Abbeville. Lydia remarried to John HUGHEY in 1830, her will was read in 1837. Thomas Blackburn (wife unknown) had eight children: William BLACKBURN; Sarah BLACKBURN m. Ambrose REID; Nancy BLACKBURN m. William H. ADAIR; Mary BLACKBURN m. Bartley W. F. CAPEHAUT; Isabelle BLACKBURN m. Samuel SILVY; Matilda BLACKBURN b. 22 March 1813 m. 13 February 1834 John Lewis BOWMAN; Malinda BLACKBURN - minor in 1834 m. Lewis PYLES; and George Washington BLACKBURN minor in 1834 m. Caroline BOOZER. Also looking for info on the family of John Lewis BOWMAN b. 13 August 1813 SC.
