The articles that I have state that she was told that since no one knew of a Paschal O'Shields in the Versonsville area she might be better off to go to Reidville, SC since there were some O'Shields living there. This is how I am told she came to the Moore house and her way to Reidville.

She also came into Vernonsville by train. She may have walked from her home to Greenville but she arrived here by train.

I tried to send you information by the email address you provided but it came back as undeliverable. My computer has been down also this week sorry. I have often wondered since she came into Versonsville by train if she got confused about which Duncan Station to get off at. In 1879 there were two and both were in Spartanburg County and on opposite sides of the county.
