My husband's grandmother was Mattie Brown Mattison who married John Henry Bishop (lived in Pelzer, Greenville, SC area). Mattie's mother was Eula Brown Sweatt, wife of William Elip Mattison. Eula's mother was Martha Jane Walker, daughter of Mary Pauline Nix and Peter L. Walker. Are these the same people that you have researched?
