I sent this message to another on this board and hoped to find someone that knows of this Woolley/Wooley family m Shaffer (any way you spell it as there are many) that had their first child in Shelby Co., Ohio before moving to Lima, Allen Co., Ohio.
This and your other message for Hiram is the closest to what I have been told by another that matches my family. I really don't know anything other than my grandmother lived with her husband in OH and raised a family of 9 there.
I don't know where my grandmother, Eurilla Eolin Schamerhorn/Schermehorn/Schaeffer/Schaefer/Shaffer/Shafer was born in 1881. I was told her father's name was Hiram or Benjamin H(iram) Shaffer and Leah Jane Sherman/Schermann/Scheuremann/Sharmon/etc AKA's b 1857.
Whoever my g-grandparents are, I have a picture of them when they were in the winter of their years. No first names were given, it only says while on a visit (to my grandparents house in Lima, Allen Co., OH) 634 Metcalf Rd.
I know my grandparents house is no longer there, but they raised 9 children. My grandmother's name was written as Emma on her death certificate, but I have had that changed.
I was told my grandmother had the following siblings, but I have not been able to verify this information: Hattie, Murlin, Edger/Edgar Shaffer. I don't know anything more about them.
Have you ever heard of any of these?
My grandfather was Daniel Lee Woolley/Wooley/etc AKA's, I know nothing about him other than when my grandmother died in 1934, he took the last child to Toledo, Lucas Co., OH and then sent the child to live with other relatives until of age and marriage.

I don't know the maiden names of those of my uncle's wives.
