I think Newburg, NY is very close to Athens, NY and there may be a connection unless there were an inordinate number of Schaads in the area. My side of the family (Mary Pfister) married Paul Schaad (b.1887 and d. 1979) and lived in Stony Point, NY. Paul had a sister named Mary who lived in Scotia, NY. Ring any bells ?
