Family of Julius Augustus Schaad (1866-1938)

Greetings to all the members of the Schaad Family!

For the past five years, I have been researching the history of Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Episcopal Diocese of West Missouri, located in Kansas City, Missouri. This is part of a volunteer project for which there is no budget.

This parish originally was two separate parishes, Grace Church, and Trinity Church.

From 1906 to 1911, the Rector of Grace Church was Julius Augustus Schaad, b. 12 AUG 1866, in Peoria, IL.; d. 25 OCT 1938, in Riverside, Adams County, IL.

He married: Neenah Marie Wakeman on 20 JUN 1893 in Chicago, Cook County, IL, and they had at least one son, Robert Wakeman Schaad, b. 26 OCT 1896, in Paducah, McCracken County, KY.

The death record I found for Julius indicates that there was a second wife, an IRENE FEE, but I am not able to find anything about her of any significance without more information about her. (I assume that she was part of the congregation in the Cathedral in Quincy, IL, where Schaad was Dean until he retired in 1936.)

I'm very eager to learn about Schaad's parents and his second wife. Also, I would like to know what happened to his son Robert, and whether Julius and Neenah had any other children.

I am unemployed and do not have at home. I have to travel to the public library to use it, and that is quite a distance for me.

If you can assist me, please feel free to contact me directly at

Thank you so much!
