I have a Clay county atlas that lists Geo. H. Mc Donald as the sheriff in the history of Clay county under the title the flood of 1881. He was elected in November of 1880 and took office in January of 1881. The history was written by E. Belle Conrow. I looked through the other years, but I did not find him again. There was also a picture of him in the book.
