Gardner Family and Noble - Gardner Marriage

I'm trying to find information about my great-grandfather's family.

My great-grandfather, Byron (Barney) Henry Gardner (born around 1863), lived in Clay County, So. Dakota. His wife was the former Caroline H. Cole, born in Clay County, So. Dakota, in 1862. My great-aunt, Edythe Frances, was born 12/8/1902, also in Clay.

Prior to this, they lived in Alcester, Union County, So. Dakota, where my grandfather, Milo Fay Gardner, was born in 9/6/1898. Later they moved to Lu Vern, Iowa.

A women who knew the family when she was a little girl remembers that Byron Henry had a brother who lived on a farm in Alcester, and also a sister (Zelda? Zola?) who married a man named Noble. She and her husband came in live in Lu Vern, Iowa, for a while, and then moved to Nebraska City. They had a son named Glen.

I would appreciate any leads on the Gardners or Nobles; I have quite a bit of data on the Cole's. I am stuck at Byron Henry Gardner. All I know of his family is that he had a brother and a sister, and the father was from Connecticut.

Thank you,
Kerryann Gardner

Sorry that the data is so sketchy - I am basing it on an interview and info. I get from the free web
