Willard Erastus Darrow was married to Lillian Morrison. She was shot to death by Willard's father, Erastus, just before he killed himself. They were having an affair and were leaving a hotel for the train station. After the murder-suicide, Willard and his mother moved to Los Angeles where he died in 1940. Willard also had a brother, George, who spent time in the LA County Jail. Lillian was buried in Kansas.
