Hi Joseph!
I am also researching a SEBEST family that came from Czechslovakia. According to John SEBEST's baptism certificate he was b. in Vikatovciach Paprad Spisskom, Czechslovakia. I have no idea if this is anywhere near where your SEBEST's are from. I do know that he always told my husband, [his grandson] that he came from Vienna.
I also know that his parent's names were:
father: Matey SEBEST mother: Maria GROFCIK
& would assume that they were from the same area. I have no information on if he had any siblings.
John became a Naturalized Citizen in 1917 - I don't know when he came to the US.
I hope that we can be of some help to each other!
