Thomas SELBY (ca. 1630 - bef. 24 Oct. 1702), at "Simpleton" Somerset Co., MD. He m1 & had son Thomas; m2 by 1656, Mary, wid/o Jan CORNELIUS; m3. by 1674, Ann (JONES) RICKARDS, wid/o Michael RICKARDS. Son Thomas d. bef. 12 Oct. 1725, when son Thomas (ca. 1700- ) & his wife Margaret (SCHOOLFIELD, d/o Henry SCHOOLFIELD & Margaret POWELL) sold "Simpleton," stating that his grandfather had transported 25 people to Maryland. Thomas & Margaret had Thomas, Wm., John, Ezekiel, Daniel, & Henry (last two under 20 in 1757). Ezekiel SELBY & Isabell DENWOOD had son Parker, bpt. Nov. 1761, m. Atlanta SELBY, d/o John.Daniel SELBY of "Bantry," may have come from Bantry, Co. Wexford. He married in Virginia ca. 1674, Mary PARKER, who d. by 1708, d/o Philip & Mary. On 20 Aug. 1656, Wm. PARKER, citizen & draper of London, apptd. bro. Philip, merchant of VA, his attorney. In Apr. 1660, Peter of Accomack Co., Va, was called s/o Philip, decd. Land was divided in Sept. 1693, a third to Wm. PARKER, a third to ch/o Peter PARKER, decd., & a third to Daniel & Mary SELBY. Daniel & Mary had Parker, b. 30 Mar. 1675; Daniel, b. 7 N 1677; Philip, b. 10 Apr. 1680; Wm., b. 30 Aug. 1683; Mary, aged 17 in 1705; & possibly Edward SELBY. Daniel, b. 1677, & wf. Ann had son Parker, b. ca. 1702. Philip, b. 1680, & wf. Wise SCARBOROUGH had son Parker (172_ - 1784), m. Mary, who m2 John SELBY.
