Do you know anything about Mary A. Loughry b. March 10, 1810 who married in 1829 Frederick Dumire. She would be the ggrandmother of Tennie Selby Burk. I have that her father was William Loughry son of John Loughry b. 1737. Supposedly William married Margaret Johnson in Randolph co. VA in 1809. I am curious to know if William Loughry son of John was married twice. He died just a few years after marrying Margaret Johnson. According to Jewitt's book he had two sons in the Rev War, that doesn't jive with what the findings of other Loughry researchers show. They show him born in 1785. Also, the Jewitt book says that Mary A. Loughry was related to a John Loughry of Buena Vista, Ohio, could this be a brother or half brother? Anyway, i am related to the your family far back, as Margaret Johnson (mother of your Mary A. Loughry) had a child Nancy Dumire-illegimate who was adopted by husband William Loughry. This Nancy married William's brother Aaron Loughry. They are my ggggrandparents.
