I am trying to find an Anne Selman or Sellman who went to India (assuming with her husband). Her husband died (presumably in the army) and she remarried a John BAKER in 1829. They had a son, James BAKER. John then returned to England on his own. I have no prior or after information on Anne Selman except that her son, James, came to Australia in 1854 from India so I am assuming she stayed in India with her son. She may have passed away earlier as oral information from other families believe he could possibly have been in an orphanage in Madras prior to coming to Australia.
Would love to find a link to Anne.
