Jessica, have you check with the family history on the geocities website. There may be a connect there. I am a Selvey from Pennsylvania. I am African American and our family were freed slaves.
There are several Selveys from the United Kingdom so it seems logical to explore that avenue as to what the Selvey's migratory processes may have been.
