Well, I had another idea about where I put some genealogy papers and thought for sure the book was there, but it wasn't. This is very frustrating because I have run into that brown envelop many times over the years and now when I want it it's gone! I do not remember the name of the authors, but it was a Sentell family history book and I know it went a good way back, maybe to France but I'm not 100% sure. I came from a line of William Sentell who was born in Virginia in 1756 but ended up in North Carolina. William hade a son James Richard who had a daughter Lillie who had lots of kids by a man named Joe Rollins. Joe was married to someone else, and from all evidence it appears that Lillie knew him in North Carolina and followed him to Tennessee. Lillie had a family by him but they were never married. Lillie's children took the Sentell name rather than the Rollins name. Her son James D. Sentell had a daughter Mary who was my grandmother. She died when my father was 19, so I never knew her. I seem to recall someone else emailing with me about that book. I will see if I have it somewhere in my notes -I know I have talked with somebody in Sevier County who has researched the Sentells.
