I don't have all data of the Serna's families; I know that Nicolas Antonio Serna was married with Lucia Margarita Gertrudis Rodriguez at Jan 27, 1732 in Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey, Nuevo Reino de Leon. Nicolas Antonio was son of Nicolas de la Serna and of Juana Rosa Ruiz de Ocon; Lucia Margarita was daughter of Miguel Rodriguez de Montemayor and of Lucia Garcia.
I don't know when and where born this man (Nicolas Antonio), but for other information about of his family, I believe strongly that he born about 1709/1715 surely in Monterrey; I have that he died before Feb 22, 1770 (I don't found the exact date, but in this date, his son Antonio Gregorio de Jesus was married with Antonia Margarita de Treviño, in the document, Nicolas Antonio is referred as "difunto", dead).
I have that Nicolas Antonio and Lucia Margarita had four children (in my records):
1) Nicolas Antonio, christened at Dec 28, 1732, in Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey; he married at Sep 13, 1778 in Valle del Huajuco, Monterrey, Nuevo Reino de Leon with Juana de Aguirre (which was widow of Francisco Moreno).
2)Leonardo, christened at Apr 6, 1734 in Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey; he married at Jun 20, 1756 in Valle del Huajuco too, with Maria Luisa Gonzalez.
3) Antonio Gregorio de Jesus (listed above), was christened at Apr 26, 1738, in Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey; he was married at Feb 22, 1770 in Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe parish, from Valle de las Salinas, Nuevo Reino de Leon, with Antonia Margarita de Treviño (daughter of Francisco Javier de Treviño and of Margarita de la Garza). Antonio Gregorio de Jesus dead before Sep 1, 1802 (in that date his son Antonio was married with Ignacia Cavazos, and his father is mentioned as dead).
4) Antonio de Jesus, christened at Feb 20, 1741 or Feb 20, 1742 in Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey (the date of his baptism is confused); he married at Jan 29, 1775 in Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe parish, Valle de las Salinas, Nuevo Reino de Leon, with Josefa de Escamilla (or Maria Josefa de Escamilla, as you write about this woman; she was daughter of Miguel de Escamilla and of Maria Guadalupe de la Garza).
The parents of Nicolas Antonio (Nicolas and Juana Rosa) has almost seven children:
I) Francisco, christened at Mar 3, 1694 in Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey.
II) Margarita, christened at Jun 27, 1694 in the same place; she married with Jose Baez de Benavides (probably son of Bernardo de Benavides and of Francisca de los Reyes).
III) Nicolas Cayetano, born in Valle del Huajuco, Monterrey, at Aug 7, 1704, christened at Aug 18, 1704 in the Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey.
IV) Mariana, born about Mar 18, 1709 (the baptism certificate say that she born in Monterrey, but probably she was born in Valle del Huajuco), she was christened at Mar 26, 1709 in Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey.
V) Nicolas Antonio, which was listed above, born about 1709/1715, surely in Monterrey.
VI) Francisco Javier, born about May 31, 1713 in Monterrey (Valle del Huajuco? maybe), was christened at Jun 8, 1713 in the Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey; he was married at Jun 10, 1743 in Sagrario Metropolitano, with Francisca de la Garza.
VII) Ignacio Cayetano de Jesus, born at Nov 3, 1716 in Monterrey (can be of Valle del Huajuco?), was christened at Nov 16, 1716 in the Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey.
Nicolas de la Serna (the father of Nicolas Antonio), was christened at Feb 22, 1670 in Sagrario Metropolitano, Monterrey, he was died before Jun 10, 1743. His wife, Juana Rosa Ruiz de Ocon, I have that was born about 1670/1675 in Monterrey surely, I don't know the names of she’s parents, but possibly was daughter of Pedro Ruiz and of Maria de Salazar, but more probably she was daughter of Rodrigo Ruiz and of Antonia Garcia (I now investigate this matter, apparently the completely surname of Pedro was "Ruiz Berrueco", not "Ruiz de Ocon", for that, I think that there is little possibly that he has the father of Juana).
I have more names of the Nicolas de la Serna ancestors, till a Francisco de la Serna y Alarcon and his wife, Catalina de Alarcon y Peralta (city Mexico settlers).
What is the names about of this lineage that you had?
I would want if you can transmit me a list of your names, via e-mail.
Thanks, very much (sorry for my bad English, How do you say, referent to the place and date of an event: "was born at 'x date' in 'x place'", or "was born in 'x date' at 'x place'"?).
I stay in touch "primo".
