Hello Pamela:
My name is Robert O. Blea from Albuquerque,New Mexico.
I have Serna and de la Serna ancestry.
One ancester was Francisco Cerna who married Francisca Yturrieta.Their son was Lucas Serna who married Petronila Montoya.Their daughter was Beatriz Serna.
Why the spelling change I don't know.
All I know is that sometimes the name is even misspelled Cerno. That's how one researcher who is helping me found the name spelled. If all the other information would not have matched,I would not believe that Lucas Cerno was in my lineage.
E-mail me if you would like to know more in regards to what I have on Serna and de la Serna.
Thank You very much for your time and attention.
Robert O. Blea --- kelliegandy@yahoo.com
