My wifes grandfather listed on his social security card application in 1934 only one name for his mother "Sever". He was born in Spokane in 1894-95 - His father is Walter Micheal Browning b1851 PA, listed as a widower in 1910 census, d 1915 Republic WA. No birth, marriage or death records that I know of - if you know of any sources in the Spokane area let me know. The only thread I have is the name Sever and Spokane, so the Whitman county Severs could be a likely posibility - I was hoping to find anyone with info regarding the family and a possible connection. Why the family have so little info is a part of the times I guess (never spoken of or discussed)did his mother die or leave, her grandfather was raised part of the time in PA with aunts and an uncle. Thanks for the reply. Bill
