I too, am looking for more info on George Sheets(z) of Dauphin County, PA. According to the 1850 US Census he was 37 yrs old (b. abt 1813). I have some information on his descendants, but mostly I'm trying to find out more about him and his father. I'm not related to this family, YET, but with more info I could be.
1850 Census Series: M432 Roll: 775 Page: 328:
George, age 37, carpenter
Mary, (wife) age 35
Joseph, age 14
Isaac, age 13
Lucy Ann, age 11
Sarah Ann, age 9
Catharine, age 7
Emanuel, age 5
William H., age 2
(An Andrew Sheets, age 34, is living next door to them. A brother of George?)
I believe, POSSIBLY, George is the son of David Sheets (1775-1854) of Adams Co., PA.
