Paul - the DAR museum has a quilt made by a member of the Sheetz family in MD.
Info with the quilt states:
Documented by the Maryland Homemakers Extension Service # MD-138. Won Howard County Fair twice. This quilt was probably made for Winfield Augustus Sheetz Robb(1853-1922) of Cooksville, Howard County, MD by one or more female members of the Sheetz family. According to the 1860 Howard County, MD federal census Winfield Robb was seven years old and living with Caleb Sheet, 47, store owner and farmer; Rebecca Sheet, 48; Elizabeth, 45; Kitty, 43; Nancy, 39; and two servants. Caleb had real estate valued at $1460 and his personal estate was valued at $2000. The Sheetz family members were probably aunts and an uncle of Winfield Robb. Winfield married in 1876 to Sarah Amanda McComas (1848-1915) of Baltimore. They lived on the farm in Cooksville. They both are buried in the McKendree cemetery of Cooksville, Howard County.
You can see a picture of the quilt on the Quilt Index Search for quilt ID number 89.13 in the DAR collection.
