I must have misunderstood your previous post regarding George Davidson Sherrill. I thought you had said there was a lawsuit or that his will was contested in some manner by his step-children. Since Samuel Brislin named one of his own children after William Morgan, one would think that Samuel was close to the Morgan children. Do you know if that is true or not? My grgr grandfather was William Morgan Sherrill, son of Samuel Brislin Sherrill. I'd like to look into the Morgan family and where William and Jane were in 1850-1860. The reason is I am having difficulty locating William Morgan Sherrill for those census years. I have been trying to PROVE his marriage to Mrs. McNett/McNatt or not and the birth of a son, Matthew Gainey Sherrill. There is no mistaking that he knew Matthew in Texas, but whether he was his father or not, is to be determined. I was thinking, perhaps, William Morgan Sherrill may have lived near Jane or William Morgan in 1850. He certainly was not listed with his father or any of the siblings I've found. Any help you might provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Notify Administrator about this message?
