I am a decendent of Robert & Mary Boyer Shewell of Philadelphia. He was born abt 1748 & died 4 Aug 1797. Want to know if he or his father Robert Shewell born abt 1700 in Painswick England was the sea captain. I'm inclined to think than the Robert born abt 1748 was. Trying to locate information on Elmira Shewell Jefferson, my great-great grandmother.
