I'm in the process of putting the research I've done, & that which has been shared with me, on my genealogy web site for all of the surnames I'm researching.
It's slow going since I'm working with so many surnames, but I have several files available for the Shields surname, including extracts of the Shields surname from the 1850 NC census (extracts for the Shields surname from the 1880 NC census will be finished & put on the web site within a day or two), which may help someone with their research.
