Do you know what county in SC your Shirey orignated in.
My ancestor, Martin Shirey b. 1806 SC resided in Lexington District, SC around 1830--but I dBased on later census his parents were from Germany. He had a brother Jacob who also resided in Lexington District, SC. Jacob's grandson believes they had a brother who moved to Georgia...but we haven't found any documentation. Does any of this fit?
