Whoops, I DID misunderstand! You helped clear up some questions I had. I agree with you -- it's probably pretty likely that Elizabeth was married to Russell Shoemaker, whatever his full name might be. I'm in no way CERTAIN that William Jackson's father's name was even Marion, I only know what my husband's grandfather said it was. Of course, this info isn't always correct, and so I've been struggling to really follow through...
The information I found showing that Joseph Marion was a possible name was on the International Genealogical Index, but the info there was pretty dicey and incomplete, so I was just putting out a feeler on it.
