Mr. Redding Simpkins aged 59 years died of asthma at his home near Beaufort, NC yesterday. His sons Edward W. and L. Simpkins, of New Bern went down to attend his funeral.
In the New Bern Daily Journal, New Bern, NC, Dec. 30, 1892:
Married at Baptist church on Russell's Creek, Carteret County, on Wed., Dec. 21; Mr. Edward W. Simpkins of New Bern to Miss Laura Springle, Rev. John Russell officiating.
