Rex,
As I understand it,when your Y-DNA and the 67 markers are published, it may establish the Simpkins genealogy between us. But its important to understand that Y-DNA markers are only a tool that has to be supported by the old genealogical research approach. For example we might indeed find that we may be descended from different sons of Nicholas Simpkins. A genetic distance of two markers between us, would simply make us distant cousins of someone named Simpkins. My point is that we still have to do the 'genealogical' research even with this valuable clue. Darn! :>)
