I am also looking for proof/info of Cherokee heritage in the Sisco line.
My husband's g-mother was Belle Sisco b.25 Jul 1889, d. May 1969. Her parents were John H. Sisco b. 9 Dec 1858, d. 14 Jan 1932 and Ireen Kirby b.11 Oct 1858, d. 3 Oct 1930. All born in Tennesse. They moved to Arkansas and that is where they are all buried.
John H. Sisco is the son of Thomas Sisco b.5 Jun 1832, d. 7 Aug 1914 and Nancy Permelia Rebecca Shrum b.1833.

My husband remembers his grandmother (Belle Sisco) speak of being Cherokee. SHe definitely had very Native features. However, we have no further information. Any information anyone may have regarding any of the aforementioned ancestors would be MUCH appreciated!
