I was just wondering which family line you are tracing. I can't help out on where in Germany Peter Sites was born but have aome information on some of his children. My 3rd great grandfather was one of Peter's son's, William Henry Sites. One of his son's, my 2nd great grandfather, was Andrew Jackson Sites. He was drafted in the Civil War then enlisted later on.
