I have just started to search for descendants of my Grandmother SARAH ANN SLEIGHT born at Laughton round about 1882. Daughter of James and Mary Sleight farmer and thrashing machine owner Laughton.(from 1891 census)
From what I can see James was the son of Richard Sleight who was born at Messingham and possibly married to Ann Lamb but I'm not sure about this.(1828/1829)
James was married to Mary and they had Edith, George W. James T. SARAh ANN, Harriet,Harold, Frank, and Kate.
Harriet I think ended upin Australia.
Any info beyond James would be helpful.
