My greatgrandfather is a great mystery and any help would be appreciated. He was born John Jacob Sligh(dob 9/6/1879). Information known, is that his father died when John Jacob was 12 years old in a horse accident. It is thought he may be orginally from Georgia and later moved to Texas where he died (2/7/1940). He possibly worked for the rail road.
