Charles Oscar and Nancy Adeline lived in Warren Co., Tn. until about 1858 when he bought land in Coffee Co., Tn and farmed near Hillsboro. For a short time he was a carpenter for the railroad in Nashville, Tn. He moved to Ks. in early 1880's. In 1900 he and his second wife were living in Indian Territory, Cherokee Nation near Vinita Oklahoma. he was a Master Mason and served in the Civil War.

Both Nancy Adeline's parents are buried on the farm where they lived near McMinnville, Tn.
