This transcription is from a newspaper clipping found in the old scrapbook of my great-grandmother Mahala HOLMES NASH (1860-1938), of Statham, Barrow Co, GA. Last names have been capitalized, but no other editing was done. The clipping did not have a date on it. There were other clippings, and I've posted this one with those on the WALL forum. This appears to be from the Ellaville, Schley Co, GA, newspaper.
Gleanings are that
Z. T. WALL md Mollie SNIPES, sister of Z. T. SNIPES and Mrs. Seaborn ALLEN. Mollie's 2 daughters and 2 sons are also listed.
I do not know of a familial connection with this family, but I believe my grandmother Mamie NASH MCBRIDE (1882-1957) nursed the family members during the 1920's. Hope this helps someone!
Death of Mrs. Mollie WALL
"Mrs. Mollie WALL, another one of Schley county’s oldest citizens, died Tuesday morning at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. Tom POOL, near here. Mrs. WALL had been ill for sometime and her death did not come as a surprise to her friends and relatives.
"Mrs. WALL was 83 years of age. She was born in Talbot county, and with her parents moved to Schley county when but a child.
"Years ago she joined Hopewell church remaining a consistent member until her death.
"For many years, Mrs. WALL with her late husband, Mr. Z. T. WALL, resided in Ellaville. She was known as a woman of deep piety, whose aim in life was to do the will of God. Unpretentious, quiet and home loving, she followed in the footsteps of Jesus and went about doing good.
"Funeral services for Mrs. WALL were held Wednesday morning at Hopewell church with her pastor, Rev. H. H. HEISLER, officiating. Her remains were interred in the Hopewell cemetery.
"Mrs. WALL is survived by two sons, Messrs. J. C. and Bob WALL; two daughters, Mrs. Claude POOL and Mrs. W. T. POOL; one brother, Mr. Z. T. SNIPES, and one sister, Mrs. Seaborn ALLEN.
