Mrs. Mahala Woosley died at 3 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of her son, Will Woosley, 1514 South Central avenue. Heart trouble was the cause of her death. She was born in North Carolina and had lived in Chanute fourteen years.
She was 69 years of age and leaves twelve children - seven daughters and five sons. The sons are Will, Lawrence, Andrew, Harry and Lewis, all living near Chanute. the daughters are Mrs. Amanda Akers of Earlton, Mrs. Jane Ellis of South Malcom avenue, Mrs. Anna Riddle of Indiana, Mrs. Alice McPheters of Oklahoma, Mrs. Mattie Ivey of North Evergreen avenue, Mrs. Nell Ivey of Missouri and
Mrs. Rhoda Burge of Dakota. The funeral services were held at the house this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. H. L. Snyder in charge. Interment was
made in the Elmwood cemetery.
