Starting Southall web site again

I saw some queries (either here or on rootsweb) asking about the Southalls in America web site. For whatever reason (my guess is it took up too much space), angelfire took it down. If you're interested, I'm putting it back up again, though not with the same name, at rootsweb as they've graciously given me unlimited webspace.

I'll try to put back all the files that I had on the other site as well as new ones as time allows.

My personal goal has been to trace the descendants of the Southall families that originated in Virginia & during the course of that research, I've located or been given (thanks so much to the many submitters who know the importance of sharing their hard work) a lot of information on other Southall lines as well. At the present time, though (I'm sorry) I won't have any Southall info outside of the United States. After I get the US info straight, maybe I'll be able to do more, but for now, it's still concerning the Southall families of the United States.

I'm still uploading the old data, but for those of you who want to "preview" it or check some of the data you saw before on the old site, the new site is located at:

Please remember it's a site for research purposes and sharing information on the Southall family -- all information I'm putting on there is for personal use only (may not be used commercially without the owners consent). All of the information should be verified with the original sources and any copyrights remain with the submitter/source of the information.

If you'd like to share research you've done to help others, please e-mail it to me at I WILL NOT include your personal information (aside from your name as the submitter) or e-mail address without your consent.

All that said, I hope someone finds the site useful in their research :)
