When I saw 1st AL Cav mentioned, I had to jump in. I belong to a Sons of
Union Veterans Camp here in Savannah, TN. We have as a member one Waldemar
Williams whose father, A. C. Williams served in the 1st. Talk about a link
to the past! Mr. Waldemar was only 13 when his father, who was old at the
time, passed away. He does not remember very much from his father's
conversations, except one: "When we got there, Atlanta was already burning!"

This is my first post to the list--but as "mouthy" as I am, it probably
won't be the last!
