The only other thing that I can add to this that might help is that one of my kinsmen, William H. Mitchell, said in his pension papers that he was wounded in a retreat from Yellow Creek. I looked Yellow Creek up at GNIS and it says there is a Yellow Creek in Tishomingo County, MS. If you find the location of Yellow Creek in Tishomingo County, please post.
