Here's what you do to order a dissertation from UMI. First, go to their
website at
http://wwwlib.umi.com
Then click on the link that says "Dissertation Express." From there on,
following the "Continue" buttons until you get to a form to fill in order
number, author, or title. Either will work and you're taken to a "shopping
cart," just like every other on-line vendor. That ought to work; it just did
for me.
