I. Jacob Asher? Ok then how about this one....
WWI Draft Registration Card filed CA San Francisco County on Sept 12, 1918:
Isaac Jacob Asher at 556 Broderick St SF age 43 b. Oct 18th 1874, white, U.S. Citizen occ:Sales manager for M. Freidman Co. 269 Post(?) SF Nearest Relative: Minnie Asher 556 Broderick Short, Stout, Grey eyes, brown hair

1910 in CA SF census in widowed mother's Minnie Asher household. Listed as Isaac J. Asher-son B. NY/Germany/Germany
In 1930 he head on household listed as J.Isaac Asher with mother Minnie in his household.

He looks to be in the CA Voter Rolls to 1940 for SF listed as Isaac Asher. In 1930 his address matches the 1930 census.
In the 1898 CA Voter Rolls he is listed as Isaac Jacob Asher living 213 Franklin Street in SF, is a collector b. NY and physical description matches WWI Card.
