looking for ancestral Spinks pre-Civil War

I'm "stuck" in my Spink lineage prior to early 1800's. I can trace back to Emanuel and Elizabeth Bowen Spink who lived in Newberry Township, York County, PA in the early 1800's. Both are buried in the historical Mount Olivet Cemetery in New Cumberland, PA. I can't find a hit on the name "Emanuel" anywhere prior to that. I plan to spend a day at the Cumberland County Historical Society soon to see where that gets me.
