I believe that there were two Joseph Stell men born around the same time in South Carolina. Joseph Stell, son of John and Jane (Jolly) Stell/Still, born in Edgefield District, married Elizabeth Bean and died in 1843 (?). The second was Joseph Stell, son of Samuel and Frances F. Stell, born in Barnwell District, married Isabella Armstrong and died in 1863. I no longer believe that my ancestor was John Stell/Still and Jane Jolly. I am still looking for information, as this matter has become rather confusing, and I am very interested in finding the truth.
