Hi Rainer,
I don't know whether you have had a chance to look at the Setphany genealogy lately but I thought I would let you know that I have the namnes of Frences(Franziska) Stephany's borthers and sisters, parents, grandparents etc. all the way back to a Lorenz Stephany who died in Pfortz in 1711. I was a year off on her date of birth. It was December 13,1835 not 1836. If you would like any of this information please e-mail me at Pustulka@aol.com. I can send it as an attachment. I tried e-mailing you at the address listed here and it came back. This may be a different Stephany family than yours.
I now have to attach some of the other Rochester Stephanys to this. I do have her brothers, Josef(1827) and Franz(1838) dates of birth which may help. She also had a sister Elizabeth. They were all born in Pfortz. She had others but they died young. Her father was a carpenter. Try to get back to me when you have the time.
