Your post concerning Hamp Stewart and family in Mississippi is quite old but one that I am just now seeing. Hamp Stewart was not born in the early 1870's, but was born in 1845. So when he married Carrie Bell Wilder in 1898, he was 53 and she was just 19! I don't have a lot on their three children, but I have quite a bit on his ancestors before him. If you are interested in sharing, let me know.
