Just FYI: George Stiggins (1788-1845) s/o Joseph wrote a narrative on Creek Indian History. The original manuscript was bought by Lyman Draper of the Wisconsin Historical Society, and a copy obtained by the Wm. Wyman & Thomas Owens of the Alabama State Archives. Mr. Wyman wrote notes that were to be published with the manuscript in 1908 but it was not published until 1989. I just picked up a copy of the book recently at a genealogy jamboree. Indian Scout Publications was the vendor at the jamboree. They have a web site but I am not sure if they have any other copies in stock. The full title is "Creek Indian History: A Historical Narrative fo the Genealogy, Traditions and Downfall of the Ispocoga or Creek Indain Tribe of Indians" by One of the Tribe, George Stiggins (1788-1845) Introduction and Notes by William Stokes Wyman, Edited by Viriginia Pounds Brown, published in hard cover 1989 by the Birmingham Public Library Press, ISBN 0-942301-15-3. The cost of the book was $24.95. If other copies of the book cannot be located, the editor in her forward does mention the manuscript was microfilmed, but does not say where; possibly in the Draper collection, though you might check with the Alabama archives or check the LDS microfilm catalogue. Hope this helps someone.
