Geraldine,
I am also looking for the parents of Sarah Stillwell. As are a whole lot of other folks. She and John were living next to an Elias Stillwell in Bedford (now Fulton) Co, PA, having moved there ca 1766. Their children were born in Egg Harbor and Great Egg Harbor, NJ in the 1750 - 1762 range. There were 5 sons that we know of and possibly a dau b. ca 1749. So far as I know no one has been able to find out how Sarah was related to the Elias Stillwell there. Elias appears to have moved to the area in the 1740s. He also haad a dau Sarah b. ca 1728 so she is not the one married to John Mellott. I have more on the Mellotts if you need it. I have also been researching the Stillwells in an effort to find the answer to your question.
