Penelope Stout novel

Frustrated with the lack of facts, I was compelled to write about Penelope as a novel, which provided opportunities to embellish the shipwreck and Indian attack with a murder mystery, privateers, banishment from Peter Stuyvesant's house, and additional dangers for Penelope.

This novel features a ship (de Kath) that actually wrecked on Sandy Hook in 1648. That ship was a privateer before its last fatal journey.
