Sidney's parents were Anderson Perry Strickland and Julia M. Stone. Anderson died during the Civil War. Anderson's parents were John Perry Strickland and Leah Jeffries. John Perry Strickland's parents were Matthew Strickland and Mary Perry. We cannot prove who this Matthew's parents were for sure, but we know his grandparents were Matthew Strickland, Jr. and Ann Braswell. Matthew Strickland Jr.'s parents were Mathew Strickland and wife Elizabeth of Isle of Wight Co. VA; this Mathew was the immigrant we believe (we cannot currently attach him but believe he was from England).

Virginia A. Coppage's parents were William H. and Laura Coppage. Julia Stone's parents were William G. Stone and Annie Boone. Leah Jeffries's parents were William Jeffreys and Mary Gray (and her grandfather was Osborne Jeffreys of Franklin Co. NC). Mary Perry's father was John Perry, one of the 7 Perry brothers of Franklin Co. Ann Braswell's parents were Richard and Sarah Braswell (formerly Bracewell).

These are basically the ancestors I have for you.

Re my book. The book long ago sold out, but I can have individual copies reprinted, but the cost has increased significantly as I got a price break on the original printing. The book is over 700 pages long, but is not a family history per se but a compilation of census, tax, will, estate, deed, birth, marriage, divorce and death records for all Stricklands in Wake, Franklin and early Johnston Counties. If you want to purchase a copy pleae E-mail me at tategenie@hotmail.com. I do want to tell you I am friends with a descendant of John Perry Strickland who still lives on his land; she would be thrilled to talk with you. She is not online.
