Harrison Summers was born about 1815 or 1816 somewhere in Kentucky. I need to know the name of the county where he was born. I need to identify the names of his parents. He appears in the 1845 St. Louis City Directory; that is as far back as we've been able to go. He was recorded in 1850 and 1860 censuses as an "engineer" and in the 1870 Census as "Steamboat engineer." He married Jane Elizabeth Jenkins or her last name may have been Filmore, but we don't know where. Jane Elizabeth was born in England about 1823 or 1824. She had her first child, Emily A. Summers, about 1846 or 1847 in Missouri. Their first son was named Charles E. Summers. Other children were John L., Helen F., Edwin, and Harry. Harrison Summers died in Beaver Creek, Illinois in 1872. Any help would be appreciated.
