Original family name was Taber. They lived in Edinburgh Scotland.My direct ancestor went to England in 1845 and took his Moms maiden name of Aitken and changed it to Atkin.There were several male Tabers born and living in Edinburgh until the middle of the 1800's, then just dissapeared.James b1806,Georgeb1810,Robert(my ancestor)left his son James in Scotland.This James b1832.Would like to know if I have Taber kin here. Any ideas??
